Share with us your favorite Bible verse. Tell us why it is your favorite too!
Here is Miss Kayla's
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes on what is unseen because what is seen is only tempoarary but what is unseen lasts forever!
I likes this verse because it talks about that we need to keep our eyes on Jesus and God because only they will last forever.
Here is Mrs. Heather's
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
She says, "This is only one of the many verses that are my favorite. I like this one because it tells us that God is with us even when we sad or happy!

Ask Kayla May 2008
Hi everyone! This is a column for you to ask some questions. You can email me at askayla@gmail.com if you have any questions about growing in God or having a relationship with God, I will try to answer all of them. I'll post the question and my thoughts here, then other girlz or their moms can chime in by leaving comments. Here is a question to get us started...
Dear Ask Kayla,
I feel like things are strained between me and God. I have had almost NO time to talk to him and that is making me feel bad. I used to feel I had a really strong relationship with him but now I don't. DO you have any ideas how I can get back in the swing of things with God?
~Feeling Strained
Dear FS,
I am so sorry to hear that you feel like things are strained between you and God. Its a kind of lonely feeling, isn't it? I have felt that way before too. I'm glad you want get back to hearing from God. Here is how I got back on track with God. I went to bed earlier than I usually do and got out my bible and prayer journal, then I stared looking for verses on relashonships with God and other things like that. Then I spent a few minutes praying and listening to God. Then I made a vow to read and pray everyday. At times it is hard but it is SO worth it. I have learned so much from reading my bible and I have a stronger relashonship with God now too. So, just try to take a few minutes everyday to pray and a few minutes to listen to God and then a few minutes to read His Word. I've found that I often get caught up in what I'm reading or what I'm telling God about and the amount of time dosn't really matter any more. But having a certain time in mind helped me get started. I chose to this in the evening, but if you're a morning person wake up a few minutes before you usally do and do the same. I hope that helps

How do I Grow in God?
By. Miss. Kayla
Well, growing in God is a choice that you need to make, but certainly the most worthwhile choice you could ever make. To grow and learn about God you need to read the bible (His word) and talk to him daily (prayer). Praying is really just talking to God. And it dosn't have to be a resited prayer, you can jsut talk to him like you are talking to a friend. It also helps if you get involved with a bible study to help you understand more about what you are reading in the bible. Bible studies can be fun because the authors who write the studies often give you activites to do along with reading and praying. Some great authors are Kay Aurther and Elizebeth Goerge. I have the Young Womens Call to Prayer by Elizebeth George and have read several of Kay Aurthors Discover4Yourself bible studies for kids. Both make it really fun for kids. As you are starting to learn and grow in God you might think it will be tough for you to spend time reading and praying, but it really isn't. Just take five minutes to pray and five minutes to read God's word everyday. That's only ten minutes and after awhile turn thorse fives into eights, then tens and so on. If you take to heart and learn from what you read and what God tells you, you will be a great daughter of the living God. I am trying to grow in God right now and I know it can be difficult to stay committed. But just keep trying, I know you and I can do it! My mom has reminded me to pray and ask God for motivation and desire to keep at it. He has promised to provide all that we need and He longs for us to know and follow his will. Here are two verses she shared with me about that:
2 Peter 1:3-4
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Go ahead and look them up, let us know how God is helping you to Grow in Him!

So please bare with us as we construct the site and get things going. Please pray that the right people come on board and that we truly honor God by all we do.
